Hair Removal for Back
Laser hair removal is a highly effective method of back hair removal.
More than 40% of males have thick and dense back hair. As anyone with back hair knows,
it's not pretty, and it can even increase body odor. Sometimes back hair can
irritate the skin, making it itchy and in some cases, causing infection.
You may need 5 to 7 treatments for laser hair removal on back depending on
the patient's skin color, hair color, hair thickness and hair density.
Expect treatment span of 40–60 minutes.
After the full course of treatment, expect majority of
hair to either become permanently smaller or totally eliminated.
Even those patients with thicker, coarse hair may have a significant
permanent thinning of the diameter of many of the hairs,
in addition to achieving a reduction in hair density.
Those hairs that remain may be much less of a concern to the patient.
Touch-up treatments are needed annually or bi-annually to maintain results.
For most men, the areas where they want to have hair
removed are large ones; the back, chest, and perhaps the legs.
With laser hair removal, these large areas can be done quickly and easily.
Since the laser systems work with cool lasers and lights, the procedure itself is less painful and uncomfortable and finished more quickly than with the needles used in electrolysis. This is important, since areas like the chest and back can be very sensitive.
Since the lasers are not as invasive as needles, you are far less likely to suffer any real pain during and immediately after laser hair removal. While there will be some discomfort, most reputable doctors or practitioners offer a topical pain relieving cream to be applied before the hair removal begins, providing immediate relief.
Laser hair removal for back is not perfect.
There is no effect on the blond hair or on dark skin and
there is a risk of temporary skin color change. However,
we continue to believe that laser treatment is the best option for back hair removal.
